HELP... advice on ILR after (ex)wife has left

Hi

Need some advice after a traumatic experience. My wife got ILR 2 years ago and after 4 years has left me. Her parents came over to visit from Pakistan and she left with them and I think she has gone back with them.

She is looking to return to the UK and get naturalised. I am in the process of getting a solicitor and getting a divorce.

1)Do I have to inform anyone that she has left me (Immigration/Border agency)? Can her ILR be revoked as the marriage has broken down?
The first 2 years of marriage were fine but once the ILR was granted she changed cmpletely and became hell to live with.

2)Can she try for naturalisation if we are not formally divorced, using me as the spouse?

3)I know this is an immigration forum but should I file for divorce here on in Pakistan (married in Pakistan)?

Pulling my hair out!!!!!

Thanks

1. No, an ILR cannot be revoked if the ILR was correctly granted at the time.

2. Yes.

Thanks Vinny

Do I need to get a specialist lawyer to stop her from using me as the spouse?

Are there recommended lawyers on this board?

Thanks

Perhaps because he doesn't want to be used?

As i said, perhaps because he doesn't want to be used by her when they are no longer together. Ever thought that that might actually be the case Sushil? Sometimes i wonder what life is like in the little bubble that you appear to live in.

I am reminded of Bradfordian Post-Posi-Punk-Rockers seminal 'Vengence' lyric...

'I believe in Justice
I believe in Vengence
I believe in getting the bastard
Getting the bastard, now...'

Its not a matter of being jealous, its just I don't want her to use my name. I let her go peacefully but it seems all she was here for was the ILR??? Why should she use my details for naturalisation if she has left me?

I don't want to end up in any mess because she is still married to me.

I think its more of a case of if I'll beable to live peacefully :)

She has been out of the country for 2 months

Going back to one of your earlier posts, I don't believe she can apply for BC as your spouse (i.e not divorced), as you would need to submit your passport.
