a quick question..
I came to the UK as a student in Sept 2000 i got married last year Dec 2008 and got my spousal visa..just wondering whether i would still qualify for ILR under 10 years long residency next year in Sept 2010...i.e having both student + spousal visa.

I think so but u wouldn't be able to naturalise until another year whereas as a spouse ur student time will count towards that and u could naturalise immediately u got ILR

I dont see why if the OP gets ILr next they wont be able to apply for naturalisation IMMEDIATELY.
The requirement is that the applicant has been in the country 'legally' for at least 3years and that they are married to a BC. I dont think you need to have been married to BC for 3years

I was speaking from the perspective of applying under 10 yr rule not as a spouse which I think is what the OP was asking!
