SET(M) Section 3 - Children under 18

My wife is about to apply for ILR after 2 yrs on a spouse visa.
I am a British citizen.
We have a son born in the UK who is now 10 months old.
Section 3 of the SET(M) form states:
"If you have any children under 18 who are living with you in the UK and who are applying for indefinite leave to remain as your dependants, this is where you give their details."
Q: Do I have to enter our sons details?
I dont think so since he was born here and I am a UK national he must have automatic British citizenship
Would it make any difference if I entered his details anyway or should I just leave this blank.
We need to get this right first time given the cost of applying!
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks

Quite simply, your son is not going to be applying for ILR! Why? He is already a British Citizen, and has been since the moment of birth.
So no, his details should not be entered on the form SET(M).

I thought that was the case, thanks John.
I think it may be a good idea to send in his birth certificate as part of the proof we have a genuine marriage, otherwise UKBA wont even know he exists!
Do you agree?
Thanks, Ken

Well it certainly cannot do any harm, and is rather good proof that yours is not a marriage of convenience!

Wow, I see what you mean. But I admit, being that quick is a simple coincidence. That is, if you had posted your message just a few seconds later, it would not have been there in the "latest posts" list that I downloaded.
But this message from me not so timely, thanks to Time Lord, Dr Who!!!!

Kenalgar , Im the same situation . Section 3 of the SET (M) is a bit confusing. We do have 2 British children and I'm applying for ILR visa . Do you have any feedback . Was your application successful?

Kindly start your own topic with your circumstances and questions rather than tagging onto a 9 year old thread. Thanks

There’s an “
and” in the Section 3 statement.
