Hi Friends,

I am now in 2 (HSMP) + 3 (tier 1) years running , will have to make application next year Nov. I know its bit early to ask, but just wanted to know what are the requirements to get an ILR? Is there a point system for that too and I need to plan my finances from now on as I am on contract role. Is there any funds maintenance or is total earnigs checked? Please advice.

Regards,

There is no maintenance , min. balance requirement for ILR.
You would need to pass Life in UK test. You can learn and pass that in the next few months, but definitely before you apply for ILR.
Details: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/settl ... uage-life/
You would need to show that you are economically active in UK for the past 5 years. (salary slips, P60s, WP, Tier1/HSMP documents, banks stmts.)
You should be leaving in UK for past 5 years with a acceptable total absence of less than 180 days in last 5 years and less than 90 days in last 1 year. (Though there are some exceptions for business related absences of more than 180 days.)
You would require a letter from employer that you are working with them for x salary and they would continue to employ you in future.
See details on : http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... ettlement/

Also go through the excellent sticky topics in this forum.
