Life in the UK Test booking..

I called a test centre yesterday for booking, it went into an automated message for booking asking me to leave my contact number for call back.

A lady called me today, booked a slot, asked me to pay £10 deposit by phone. She asked me to give my credit card number inclusing three digit number on the back, and my postcode and address. She said there will not be any confirmation by post, and gave me a reference number.

Is this how tests are booked? I was concerned to give credit card number by phone. Strange, why they don't provide confirmation of appointment by post?

Sounds familiar to how my wife's one went.

I thought she had a postal confirmation though ... but I may be remembering incorrectly.

Yes, She is right. She will not send you any confirmation by post. The unique reference number ( given by her over the phone ) is one and only thing for you. On your test date just forward this ref to them at counter they will ask your passport or id than ask for remaining balance. after payment you will be headed to exam desk. Dont worry just concentrate on your test.

Good Luck.
