I first came to Uk as a child of 14 years old in 1994. Since then I've been absent from UK at three different instances. I've been out for the total of 12 months in 15 years period.

I had two different opinions from two different solicitors. one of them says that I am not eligible for this sort of application as I spent 9 months( more than 90 days) outside UK at one single occasion.

Whereas the other one says that If I haven't spent more than 18 months in total during this 14 years period, then I've a case.
I don't know who's right and who's wrong. Please give me true guidance.

well without the full facts noone here could tell you who is right between the 2 solicitors. My understanding of it though is that if you are away for 6 months at any one time that breaks the 'continous' residence requirement and your 'clock' is reset, but they may very well be circumstances in which discretion may be used. Have a read of the guidance notes on the link pasted below for the caseworkers from UKBA. they should hopefully lead you closer to an answer
