has there been instances where local MPs help has been sought and has been helpful in resolution of problem. Grounds for refusal were that person has been out of country for over 700 days but reality is that it is 424 days in last 10 years if entry and exit stamps are calculated.

What has been experience of utilising complaints procedure. Refusal has come with no right to appeal as person has still some outstanding leave to remain left currently.

I had made table of exit and entry stamps. I am at a loss of how they got figure of 700. Actual was 424, 700 falls in 18 month period in 10 years so infact they created this figure to reject the application

even if she was, it will not pass as "Grounds for refusal were that person has been out of country for over 700 days"

i think they might have mis-read the dates - year of returing to country.
i'd request SAR file as a proof of her presence and seek a ligal advise.
