got it finally ..
Like others I'll repeat ... very friendly and helpful staff...
Had done lots of offshore travel for projects related work but company letter helped a lot. In fact case worker suggested that the letter is really great and I am happy about the facts that you were away for official work.
I happened to lost my Tier1 approval letter .. for which they have done some internal passports checks..Don't know what.
Apart from it I have applied with all basic documents as suggested in the application form.(But do carry whatever you can .. you never know...)
and after that all system gone down and they could not stamp my passport. After 2 hrs I have gone back and things were sorted till then.
BTW, the first level of check .. I don't think if that is thru means you are 90% sure that ILR has been granted. My observation is that the first level of check is all about complete documentation and nothing else. It's the case worker only who decides.
I can answer your queries...if any.. but those will be my opinion... As getting ILR doesn't mean that I gotta rank of a case worker
And hey thanks a lot for all the your help and guidance. immigrationboards has rocked for me

Congratulations rajiv,
I believe you absences have >90 days at a stretch? Is it possible for you to send me a copy of employer letter?

Many congratulations on getting ILr.
Can u give breakdown of your work absences and personal absences.
you sais the worker appreciated your employer letter. Was it the standard letter, for which there is a template on this site or did you have some extra information in letter?
Thanks

hey brandnew.
Nopes none of the absences were beyond 90 days. I am not sure if that actually is a condition.
for template please read my mail below... it's not very different from what site has.

220 official trips and remaining personal leaves.
Our office has got it's own template. Apologies can't share that. But it's definitely not different from what's there in site. And in fact my office don't even write leaves, but that didn't matter. Caseworker didn't ask me any question on that. They have simply stated that the absences stated below are due to official role and responsibility. And I'll be continuing with them.
