Hi, I was on a WP from Sept 2003 to Sept 2004 (1 year).

Then went dependent for 2 years on my wife's WP (Sept 04-Sept 06).

From Sep 2006 to current (completing 4 yrs), I am on my own WP.

Can I apply for my ILR or do I have to wait for a continuous 5 years on WP?

I would be grateful for your help!!!

Stay as dependent doesn't count towards ILR, so you will have to wait until you complete 5 years on your WP (Sep 2011).

What was your wife's immigration status at the time of her ILR application?

regards

But I still complete 5 years on 2 WPs

My wife was on WP. But I completed 1 year WP between 03-04 with a different employer. Had a gap of 2 years on dependent WP. Now about to complete 4 years on a different WP with a different employer. So, does WP need to be continuous???

You could have changed your status to WP dependent anytime prior to your wife's ILR application and applied for your ILR at the same time (in the same application) as her dependent!! Missed opportunity :(

What matters is your leave (visa), which must be continuous! Whether you've worked for one employer or changed many during the 5 years is immaterial but changing to dependent resets the (ILR) clock.
