If ur from NI why not ue EEA route which is free of cost?

I don't think paying by cash should be an issue. And I think you guys should be fine with paying with Bank of England notes as it is acceptable nationally including in Scotland.
I paid by cash for my ILR when I applied some 3 weeks back through the PEO Cardiff premium service and there was no problem.

i paid by cash at the Glasgow office last week as there was a problem with my cash card earlier that morning so decided to go to the bank to withdraw the cash to be on the safe side. there were no problems and they seemed to prefer it.
