Can PFT visa count towards ILR? I checked Home Office website and this forum but no luck. Does anyone have absolute answer to this issue? Should I contact a solicitor?
Thanks

As far as I am aware, yes, it can be counted towards long term residence
(10yrs), leading to ILR but not against any other category like WP, HSMP,Tier 1 etc.
Best regards

Hi Gidoc

Thanks for your reply.

This is the abstract from Home Office---

The qualifying periods are as follows:
5 years In the work permit holder, employment not requiring
a work permit
, businessperson, innovator, investor,
self-employed lawyer, writer, composer or artist, UK ancestry,
Tier 1 and Tier 2 categories or routes.

This means I could apply. It's very important I apply this year. Please guide me. I have heard some people have been granted ILR on basis of PFT + HSMP + TIER 1 (5 years).

I cannot guide you to where this is from but I am pretty sure that PFT cannot be added on to any other form of LTR like WP /HSMP/Tier 1-2 and it can only lead to ILR under 10yr rule.
