Hello everyone,

I need some help as I am not sure how the 28 day rule affects me and will soon be putting in an application for ILR (or FLR(M) - whichever is applicable).

My settlement visa is valid from the 10/07/08 to the 10/07/10. I arrived on the 02/08/08.

Could someone please tell me, when the earliest I can submit my application is and whether I can apply for ILR or have to apply for an extension - FLR (M)?

Thanking you in advance!!!

the earlies you can apply is 24 months minus 28 days from the date of arrival in uk. the latest you can apply is the date of expiry of your visa

Hello everyone,

I have a quick question. My husband and I lived with his sister for about 4 months. However, she was claiming some benefits ( se is entitled as a British citizen). Will this affect our ILR application? Should I omit the fact that we lived with her for a bit?

Thanking you in advance!!
