Hi! Members
I have just recieved my passport back from BHC with 27 months visa stamped. I have a few questions and would appreciate your views.

My Details:

-Spouse visa stamped 13 April 2010

Q1) FOR ILR? What time can I be away from uk out of these 27 months.

Q2) The new rules 2011 - Will it affect the spouses?

Now I can apply for ILR after 2 years i.e. 13 april 2012

Bit confused after reading some posts.. Help

Regards

nic

Q1 - Check the UKBA site; it is self-explanatory

ILR will be replaced with Probationary Citizenship in 2011, with a longer qualifying period for Citizenship...including Spouses.

Hi Casa :) so ,my Hub will have done his 3 years residency in June 2011, but will maybe not have a year's ILR by July 2011 (waiting on application result now). Can he still apply for Citzenship in time to beat the change in probationary period?

3Crowns, knowing the background of his current application, there's no reason to think he won't be granted his ILR...which means he'll be able to apply for BC in 2011. Lucky him!

so it doesn't matter when he's granted ILR - so long has he's resided for 3 years at June 2011 he can apply for BC then?
