Totally Confused

Hi Guys

I have done quite a bit of searching (and even more head scratching), but here is the situation.

I am currently in New Zealand with my wife and 3 kids, in December of this year we are looking to come back to the UK. Sarah is a Kiwi and we have been married for just over 7 years, I have been told over the phone by the Visa section in Canberra that Sarah is entitled to ILR - however and this is where I get confused to get ILR she would need to take the Life in UK test, but all the test centre's are in the UK. So how do I get her into the UK to take the test ?

The other slightly confusing aspect is Sarah is a housewife - I am a self employed IT consultant, All of my clients are in the USA (a big part of the reason to move is the ease of travel to the US) as such I support my family financially, how do I convey that on the application ?

I have been told the kids are easy as they are simply entitled to UK passports - is that correct?

I may be missing something here - if so any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Regarding your wife's ILR....she will be issued with ILE (KOL) required, which will enable her to take the test in the UK after she arrives. Once she passes she will be able to apply for ILR immediately.

I think that this is more confusing and so you will have to think that there are many things related to the Visas which are out of our reach and this is the reason we should contact the experts who can be aware of this things .
