Indefinite leave either via work permit or 10 year rule

Hello,

My family and I qualify for the 10 year rule ILR in September 10 but we also qualify for the 5 year ILR in December 10.

Can we wait to apply for the 5 year ILR as apposed to the 10 year ILR because we can apply together and it works out a lot cheaper.

Also this means we can apply in person vs postal which is taking months.

Any help would be great.
:P

Thanks for the response, its just that I read somewhere that if you qualify for the 10 year ilr then you should apply for this first.[/quote]

No, you shouldn't. Judging from posts here, that takes a lot longer to process. WP is more straightforward.

AFAIK, nothing in the law that suggests so!
