Hello everyone,
This forum has been very helpful and the tips helped me for the ILR application.
My case file -
- WP (3 yrs)
- Tier 1 General (2yrs)
- Same employer
I'm sharing below my experience at PEO on 5th Aug 2010
- Appointment was at 8:15 but we (my wife and I) got there by 7:15 itself as there were no later trains
- There was already a queue forming
- By about 7:40, the doors opened and we were allowed inside
- The security guard was very friendly and explained to everyone the next steps
- We were asked to remove all metal objects and prepare for a airport style check
- Next, another queue - when called, we presented all the papers
- The officer verified and gave us a slip with a number. Note - Keep this slip carefully
- Next we were asked to pay
- Once paid, we waited for about 90min. Another officer called us and requested for the application and documents one by one
- After about 30min, she confirmed that the visa will be stamped on the password and it can be collected in 90min.
- We stepped out to have breakfast and returned (again going through the security checks. The slip with the number gives you access straight in)
- When our number was called again, we recieved the passports with the visa stamped
- Total time I think was about 4hrs.
Documents asked
- p60
- letter from employer
- bank statements (last 3 months)
- payslips (last 3 months)
- life in uk test
- photos of my wife and myself (only 1 was taken but I think 2 is still required as per guideline)
Overall,
- the staff were cordial and pointed us to where we need to gp
- the officers were friendly and were calm in asking questions
- very professional

Did you have any absence during your 5 Years stay in UK? if yes, how many absences?
I have my appointment tomorrow at noon.

Employer letter mandatory?

Congrats!
Was the employer letter asked even if you are applying from Tier-1 category?
I ask since it may be difficult for me to get an employer letter for ILR purpose and I have my appointment later this month. Hence looking at other options.
Can anybody pls advise?
Thanks in advance

Hi Chandra,
I was told so in this forum, that the dependants who are not applying along with main applicants will not be allowed beyond security check. So i am afraid, she may have to wait outside the PEO. I am in a similar situation like you.
Let me know, if you heard it otherwise.
