hello everyone,
i applied for ilr in february this year after being on dl for 6 years( article 8, married to a british citizen).heard nothing from the ukba until today. they returned all my documents (except passport, marriage cert and nhs cards). the ukba said a decision has been taken and i will be notified of the decison soon. they also said i should try not to call them as this just delays their work.
now the question is -- is this normal? has any one been through the same thing and how long did it take for the ukba to send this notification of the decision?? if a decision has been made why didnt they just tell me the decision in the leter instead of saying they will notify me soon?
anyone with similar esperience??
thanks

Don't worry it is normal.

A different department places the ILR in your passport so it needs to be passed to them to wait in a "queue". I think UKBA return your documents because they think they are doing you a favour when in reality all you want is your passport with the ILR stamp!

Tell me about it! 7 months now for me.

It usually takes an additional 2 weeks for your passport to be returned.
