Hi All,

I want to find out more information about the New English Test in Nov 2010. I am not sure I need to take this new test or not.

I am on spouse visa and already passed life in the uk test.

Is this new english test for people applying for the spouse visa (FLR M) and/or those applying for settlement visa (ILR - SET M)?

Thanks in advance

I am confused now. Please see my questions :

(A)
I found this from website:
You will need to meet the requirement if:
you want to apply to enter or remain in the UK as that person's husband, wife, civil partner, fiance(e), proposed civil partner, unmarried partner or same-sex partner

ILR = Indefinite leave to remain = Settlement visa
Is ILR classed as to remain (leave to remain)?

(B)
This is in addition to the new basic English language requirement, which forms part of their initial application.

Is it an extra requirement for spouse visa and ILR visa?

Newlife, you have already been correctly advised on another forum that this does not apply to you. You will be applying for ILR . not to 'remain as spouse'.
You can ask the question as many times as you like, but the answer will still be the same.
