want to contact my MP about my ILR application

hi guys, My ILR application( 10 years) have been sent out for almost 7 months now, still no news.
I want to contact my mp now, but should i write letter to him or just use email?

Hi

Best to send a letter.In your case send it recorded delivery to the constituency address.If you don't get an answer send it to his email address and parliament.If you are worried do all three!

If I were you I would ring the constituency office and ask for an appointment to see and raise the matter, at this time you can give your written letter to the MP.
I did so for another matter and my MP was very helpful, though he could not do much.
