Set O ... 9G or 9L

Hi,

Which section in setO is relevant for for following case.
-- HSMP approval in July 2006. Extension in July 2008 as Tier 1.

Section 9G
Highly skilled migrant If you are applying for indefinite leave to remain on completing 5 years’ continuous stay in the UK under the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP) and other appropriate categories, in addition to the relevant documents in 9A, you must ........

OR

Section 9L
Tier 1 (General) migrant If you are applying for indefinite leave to remain on completing 5 years’ continuous stay in the UK made up of leave as a Tier 1 (General) migrant and leave as a highly skilled migrant, work permit holder, innovator, self-employed lawyer or writer, composer or artist, in addition to the relevant documents in 9A, you must ......

If extension was applied for using FLR HSMP Tier 1 form and / or as per old HSMP rules under HSMP JR and granted as per old rules, then 9G.
If extension was applied for and granted under Tier 1 rules, then 9L.

@ Sushmehta

We dont know which form was used for extension application but I just checked the HO approval letter. It says that as the application is considered and approved under extension criteria which was in place before 5th Dec 2006 (because of high court ruling).

Am i right in understanding that section 9G is relevant in this case?
