Hi,
I got HSMP in Feb 2007 for 2 years.
I came to UK in April 2007 and then got extension in Feb 2009 for 3 years.
I have to apply for ILR in Feb 2012.
I want to know whether I should provide P45 and P60 forms at the time of applying for ILR.
Also what other documentary evidence should I provide?
Thanks in advance.

It is uncertain whether ILR will continue to exist in 2012.

As for settlement applications under current laws, please search the forum as this information is already available, posted by numerous successful applicants.

For your information, ILR clocks starts the day you land here, and you can only apply for ILR before 28 days. Therefore if you say you have a gap of about more than a months before coming to UK, I doubt that you will be shorten for few days. Unfortunately for those few days, you have to apply again for an extension, Any senior member if shed some light onto it. I am more concerned, because I have the same issue, i landed here after 1.5 months. If anyone can comment more on this?

jimmycad, you are right when you state that ILR clock starts from the day you enter UK and not from the date on which the visa is issued. In case of OP, he/she will be eligible for ILR (under current laws) in April 2012.

Also, as per current rules, one cannot apply for settlement any earlier than 28 days before the 5th anniversary of date of entry in the UK. If one's leave ends before this 28 days period, one must apply for extension before expiry of leave.

You will need to use the form specified at that time for Tier 1 extension (close to expiry of current leave in Feb 2012).

Thanks Sushdmehta for clarifications. In any case, i need to get another 2 years extension for just few days :(.

Who knows about the rules. It is more likely the ILR rule will get changed in 2011 and new rule will apply retrospectively.

Hi,
I got HSMP approval letter dated 22 November 2006.

Thank you.

Yes, you are covered by HSMP JR (extension of stay).
