Went to Croydon on Thursday for my hubby ILR, everything went well, first went through security, then you are marched to anothr section to hand over your application form and life in the uk test, that is checked and you are given a number then you head upstairs to make your payment.Wait for your number to be called then hand over your documents wageslips and bank statements, they asked us to either go and get a coffee or could leave and return in about 40 mins.Went back and everything was done was informed we were successful and told to wait at window 22,your number is called and your passport is returned with the permanent stamp inside.
Our appointment was for 11 am and we left at 1.30pm,time goes fast.I would advise having everything in order :
application form
test certificate
payment
6 documents
bank statements
wageslips
We went on remembrance day and they said there will be 2 min silence,11am came and went and no announcement then at 12 o'clock they start making announcement then stopped as they realised all the clocks hadn't been put back an hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can you belive it..

Hey

That's good news.Congratulations.I am applying for ILR on 22nd of this month.Just wanted to ask you reg the documents that you submitted like joint gas and electricity bill, were they just a single month's bill or 3 to 4 months?Cos I called the office today and I understood what they said reg the bank statements that they should cover 4 month period but my elec and gas and council tax bills are like quarterly! So just wondering whether one document is enough! Thanks in advance!

Hi,think they have confused you,you need to show the last 3 months bank statements and wageslips,so in your case October,September and August and if you can get some for November then that would be good.
As for the gas and electric, mine were quarterly so i just showed gas bill for one proof of address and then used another electric bill for another part of my 6 pieces of proof.
So one piece is enough as part of your 6 pieces of address proof.
