Hi,

I am currently renting a house through Agency and living there. And I sub-rent rest of rooms. I pay full rent to landlord every month and the rent from myself and that collected from sub-tenants.

Recently, one of the sub-tenants (English guy) is applying house benefit (DSS) for his room and I concerned about HO will consider part of rent for this house is paid through Housing Benefit and it will affect me when I apply ILR.

If it affects me, do I have the right to stop it?

Please if anyone knows about it let me know.

So far your tenant does not use your name to apply for benefit,you will be fine.
