Leaving current job

Hi
My Husband is due to apply for his ILR (set M, settlement) in 3 weeks time at the Peo. He has been employed full time by the same company for the last 20 months and has all his pay slips. He has recently obtained his Taxi License and wants to give his notice to leave his present job so that he can become a self employed Taxi Driver. Ideally he would like to give his notice next week and leave the week after. Do you think that it will be a problem if he leaves his current job before he applies for ILR as we do not want to cause any problems for ourselves.

Many thanks

Why not wait 3 more weeks? Does he expect to earn more?

He hates his current job as he has to be there at 4am every day to work a ten hour shift with only two fifteen minute breaks a day and all that for minimum wage! He has been desperate to leave for a long time but in our area there is not much work about. Now he has started driving, he can make more money and not hate every moment of it! Do you think however that it would be better to continue with the job for the next 3 weeks just to be on the safe side?
Many thanks

Yes. If he survived for 20months, it would be safer to stay put for another 3 weeks. :)
