Hello all, I came to UK initially in June 2007 on WP and then extended until 14 Jan 2011 under Tier 2. I could not apply for extension as I was in India on an emergency but had to apply afresh for a new Tier 2 VISA valid from 24th Jan 2011 from India inorder to come back. So there is a break of 10 days in between. I would like to know if I still qualify to apply for ILR after I complete the 5 year period. Can anyone pls throw some light here ?

in my opinion your ILR clock reset in Jan 2011. you may have a case based on reason for your "emergency" but it would need to be very strong for it to be considered.
