Applying ILR based on Work Permit - Reg

Dear All,

I am working under Work Permit (UK) [Serving Business Needs]. My Entry Clearance stamping has a validity for 5 years from May 2006. For some reasons of document delay, I entered UK after 68 days from my starting date of Entry Clearance. That is, I have a shortage of 68 days to complete 5 years life in UK. I am still working for the same employer from 2006 and I will be continuing (according to Employer).

Can I get any sugesstion whether I am eligible to apply ILR based on the above or I need to apply for an extension of Certificate of Sponsorship?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Manthiralaya

what is work permit (Serving Business Needs). All work permit holder serve business needs....

You have a gape of 40 days between your eligibility and visa expiry (one can apply 28 days before completion of ILR qualifying day). there are some exclusions affecting those who were given 5 year work permit visa but it is down to case worker's descretion.

do a search on the forum and you will find the relevant clause, then decide how it impacts your situation.
