Will time spent as dependant count?

Hi all,
I am a NHS doctor since 2005 August, but started work as student dependant. Got HSMP 2007 Dec, renewed in 2009 Dec, due to have ILR 2012 Dec (2+3 yrs).

I was wondering if there is any option to use my 2 yr work in NHS 2005-2007 to expedite my ILR? Although that was not on work permit ( hence this might be a long shot) . I want to get to ILR ASAP rather than wait for 2 more years if possible?
Thanks
Laxani

I am afraid it is your visa status (not just work) that primarily counts for ILR, hence you'll be eligible only in Dec 2012.

so from 2005-07 you were on dependent visa to your partner's student visa?

answer is no, time spent as depednent of non-EEA national is not counted towards ILR. you must wait till 2012 (as per current rules)
