Tier 2 General - SET (O)

Applying for ILR. ~ 5 years up next month. Non-EU migrant.

In December 2008 I wanted to change employer, gave in notice with 1st employer. New agency arranged new employer and sponsorship. However, I decided something was untoward, so asked original employer to be reinstated. This was fine as worked on months notice (December), and missed only one week before commencing new contract (jan 11 2009). But they had to reapply for my new sponsorship, and this was confirmed 19 February 2009 as Tier 2 (General) migrant.

Question here is am I going to have a problem with my application for the (approx) 9 weeks gap in sponsorship ? Thanks.

1. What date did the WP expire?
2. What date did your employer apply for Tier 2 (CoS)?
3. What date did you apply for leave to remain as Tier 2 migrant (with that CoS)?

I am sorry.

What is WP and CoS, short for?

Thanks!

WP = Work Permit
CoS = Certificate of sponsorship (required for Tier 2 application).

Another question, what was your immigration status before you became a Tier 2 migrant?

Entered England 3 April 2006 passport as VISA WORK PERMIT.

27 April 2006 started with employer under Work Permit Clearance Visa.

Notice given beginning of December 2008 to employer, working one months notice.

Work Permit granted for new employer 16 December 2008 with Leave To Remain now December 2013. Automatically cancelled out original.

Asked original employer if could stay, and have letter confirm dated 8 Jan 2009. So only one week not working. They have COS / WP dated 13 Jan 2009.

Applied to B Agency in Jan but they wrote back saying wrong form (their letter dated Jan 29).

11 Feb 2009 B Agencyletter acknowledge application.

17 Feb 2009 B Agency granted approved Tier 2 (general) Migrant until Jan 2012 (this is what is current).

ps have copy employers of Certificate Assigned Tier 2 (General) 12 Jan 2009 - 13 April 2009

Hope this is enough informations?

Thanks!

Should be no problem, as you had no gaps in visa! Perhaps gaps in employment (1 week or so, as you say) ... which doesn't matter!

Set out the details in depth as explained above within the application.

Successful, and now have ILR stamp!

Best wishes.
