Hello Guys

Please could you advice if I'll be elligible for ILR?

Came to UK Feb 2008 on Work Permit which is valid till Oct 2011. My company will extend this to Tier 2 ICT in OCT for 3 years. Will I be elligible for ILR when I complete 5 years (Feb 2013) or should I change my visa to Tier 1.

I know no body knows whart rules wil be in place in 2013 but as of now am I eliigible? Please advice.

Based on the rules as on date you would not be eligible to claim any length of stay in ICT Category on/from 6th April 2010 in combination with another form (i.e. WP for your case) in order to make up to 5 yeras of continuous stay in UK, which as per the rules on date, is the qualifying period of continuous stay in U.K. This is my perception though.

You can use Transitional Arrangements A for work permit to switch into Tier 2 General to take your stay up to 5 years after which you can apply for ILR provided the rules stay same. But for this your company have to provide you COS for extension.

My company won't transfer me to Tier 2 General as my home office is in india. I think only option is to change it to Tier 1 general in time before the game is all over.

your best option is tier 1...bear in mind that 6th april is the last date for tier 1 in country apps.. new tier 1 arrangements will come in after this date (for scientist, investors etc)
