Hi,

My friend will be finishing his five years in UK as follows:-
Work Permit --> 9 Months
Tier2 (Intra Company Transfer) --> 1 month
Tier1 General --> 50 months

Is he eligible to apply for the settlement (ILR)?

Looking at the web page http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... ettlement/ and at the section "What immigration category you must be in to apply for settlement", Tier2 is not given in the list of immigration category.

Does this mean that my friend has to finish 60 months (10 more) in Tier1 itself to become eligible for ILR?

Please advise.

Many Thanks.

No,

"must be in" - present tense.

Thanks.

The Home Office should ideally mention Tier2 as well in the list, right?
