I am about to complete 10 years legal residence in the UK but I have a question about my leaves from the UK

During the first 4-5 years I was a student and left the Uk for vacations once for 92 days, I was enrolled on IRIS scan and used simiar automated barrier in my home country. I do not have the dates in my passport from when I exit the country and when I came back neither do I have records of entering the other country and leaving back for UK

as this has happend 4-5 years back my memory isnt that strong about how many days I had and have they accumulated to 18months in total.

is there any way I can find out how many days I have been out of UK

Apply for SAR and you will know everything :)

thanks for the info.

Will SAR tell me how many days I have been out of UK, does it tell me when I left the UK or it tells me only that I have entered UK on these specific dates because it would be very difficult for me to recount how many days I have been out of UK if I was given a date that this is when I returned

1. I do not think so that SAR file has anybodys leaving and entering dates on it as i have my file with ne records of travel information.
2. But i am not sure that if the UKBA does enter IRIS details on the SAR file or not.
3. If they dont then you wud not have this information on the SAR file.

1. SAR file is supposed to have all the "personal information about you that is held by the UK Border Agency."

2. UKBA website says "If you just want us to provide you with a specific document, please just ask us for that; this will make it easier for us to respond to your request."

3. It may give you more information -> http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=75734

1. You will need to enter wat u remember.
2. HO can ask for further proof in u case.
3. What bout looking at your bank statements and see the activity on the account as that might give you an idea.
4. If you were attending uni then perhaps ask them as they keep record of any holidays approved while u were a student.

alright I shall ask the Uni as well about the dates, but that does not mean I was out on all holidays! and wouldnt give me exact although I can give approximate to the HO.

Well there is a twist in that as well the account I used to have at tht time was different and as soon as I switched to employment I opened a new account! Neways thanks for all the suggesstions

Will request SAR neways and see it. And will give all the approx dates to them and also write a covering letter explaining.

If they want any other proof will provide
