ILR Catagory - HSMP or Tier1?

Hi...

I am applying for ILR on Tuesday 3rd May. I have got one query. I was on WP for 5 years. My HSMP was approved on 14/12/2007 and but then I did not apply for Further leave to remain until 04/2008. By that time HSMP was closed and they introduced Tier 1. So when I applied for Further Leave to Remain, based on the HSMP approval letter, I was given all the points required for Tier1 and my passport was endorsed with Tier1 (General) visa.

Now I am confused on whether I should select HSMP or Tier 1 (General) while applying for ILR.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Does that mean, I have to claim 75 points to be eligible for ILR. I still have that HSMP approval letter.

Hi Friends,
I'm also having a similar situation as that of Amit. I came to UK through Work permit in July 2006. I've applied HSMP in Feb 2008 and got the letter, but my visa got stamped as Tier 1 General visa. I'm eligible for ILR in July 2011 and not sure whether I need to select HSMP or Tier 1 General Visa.

I understood from Amit case it should be Tier 1 general visa, but just wanted to get confirmation from senior members before I apply.

Thanks!!

Since all applicants after Dec 2006 are not covered by hsmp ILR JR, they are required to secure points for ILR. including TIER 1 GENERAL or HSMP.
Please refer the SET(O) guide
