hi guys, i just wanted to know if anyone has submitted ILR application recently, i just wanted to know, how quickly were you sent a confirmation letter and how quickly payment was taken,
my wife has submitted her application last week which was confirmed delivered by royal mail on the 27th, however no letter yet or payment being taken. i know its only been 3 working days as of the bank holidays.
i know the home office do not give out information about progress, however if for example someone was in the scenario that 3-4 weeks down the line, no letter or payment taken, however you have proof that they recieved. would they provide any help over the phone? or still tell you to wait 14 weeks?
just curious.

i cant help but think they lost it already. its really worrying.
is there a time of day that they process payment?

hi rooney, i see what you meant. you sentence suggest it had been taken as you wrote "not been taken till today", therefore it was misinterperated.
i read that as they had taken the money.
can you keep me posted with your app, like when payment is taken and when letter is recieved.

no payment or letter sent today. just checked 10 minutes ago.
i think looking around on other forums, they are taking an average of 2-3 weeks to take payment and send a letter out.
i think its annoying, personally i think a letter should be sent immediatly as a courtesy to let the applicant know that they have their application.
as until they do, the only evidence you have that they have it is the post office special delivery receipt.
will keep you updated rooney, will you do the same since we sent them nearly the same time.

That why people are paying premium fees for.

I could've saved around £ 600 if the application was sent via post. But we chose to pay that extra £ 600 for Premium service to avoid thinking and worrying about it for weeks.

Dont worry guys, in most categories it is taking up to 10-15 days for fee deduction, add another 4-5 days for an acknowledgement letter, as it is sent by second class mail.

We too posted the Set Form (M) on 28 April for it to arrive on the 3rd May, I'm not stessing yet. There have been quite a few bank holidays where offices get behind with work so looking at the postings on here I do not expect the cheque to be cashed for another week or more.
However, I am curious how long the whole process is taking. Each case will be different but to the nearest week or even month might stop my hubby stressing. He's wanting to apply for another job (only p-t at the mo) and is wondering how long it will be before he gets his passport back should he be lucky enough to get a f-t job as the new employer will want proof. He's always been a positive thinker ... LOL ....
