Hi Guys,


I got my first work permit on 14 june 2006 (I changed my category from student to work permit so it was an in country application and I was in UK). Thereafter i was on HSMP and tier 1

When can I Apply for ILR:

1) 14 June 2011 ?
or
2) I can apply now in may 2011?

I know its a bit of a dumb question but i dont want to risk my application so need some advise......please help

Your qualifying period started when you were granted further leave to remain as a work permit holder. You may apply for ILR no sooner than 28 days prior to the completion of your qualifying period and before your leave expires.

Thank you for the prompt reply.......very much appreciated.......Basically I got my extension on Work Permit on 14th June 2006 as this is the date stamped on my passport.............and my 5 year qualifying period will get completed on 14th june 2011 so i can apply in may (i.e. 28 days before 14th june 2011).
