Hi All,

I'll applying ILR for WP + Tier1 basis. I have been working for same employer for last 5 years (started job with work permit and moved to Tier1 but remain working in same company). My question is:

- I was on SEGS visa (post graduate work scheme- Science and Engineering Graduate Scheme) when i started working for this company and after 5 months of work, they applied my work permit. I was remain on same position. My question is now i'll have to show them my starting date of employment it will be 5 months earlier than work permit issue date. I was legally autorized to work because SEGS allows full time job. However, I am worried if this can put negative impact with this. I have full 5 years P60 and pay slips. I'll applying via post so what should i do to make home office to understand this. Please confirm

- Another question - My son was born in this country couple of years ago. Some one told me that I don't need to apply for his ILR and can apply his citizenship after me and my spouse gets ILR. please confirm if it is correct.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Correct, though with a minor correction - replace the (highlighted) "and" with "or".
