i am a old work permit holder , i bring my wife in uk 4 years ago and then we have a 2 years old daughter now i am applying for ilr do we need to take cohabitation proof papers to home office

May as well take them in case you're asked about them.

Is your wife applying with you for ILR?
If your wife is applying with you in the same application then as per the section 10A in set O application you will have to produce he co-habitation document for last two years.
