Hi all,
Just wondering can anyone advise whether the Home office will count/consider the initial Supervised Practice Nurses Visa period (of 1 year) for the 5 year stay eligibility criteria to get Permanent Residency Status ? ie I came to UK in the Supervised Practice Nurses Visa in June 2006 and then got converted to Work Permit in May 2007. So just wondering whether I can apply for PR status now ? Thanks in advance.

The time spent as a student nurse will be counted only if you were initially granted a work permit but was subsequently granted entry clearance as a student nurse.
but if you entered Uk as an Overseas qualified nurse under permit-free immigration category then the ILR clock starts only when you got a WP and LLR was granted (Stamped) in your passport.
