Applying ILR at Redundancy status

Afternoon everyone,

I will qualify ILR end of next January. But the industry I am working for is not looking very good at the moment. So I maybe laid off in the near future....

And I will receive two month notice pay plus compensation plus my unfinished holidays. So it's about 4 months salary.

I am currently under 5 years Work Permit which is employer applied for me and 3 years Tier1 General applied by myself before 1st April 2010 at the same time.

So my question is can I get ILR with no job or self-empolyed status? HR is ok to help me pay NI and tax if I received redundancy payments. Would be a problem if I have a no fixed or permeant job when I applying for ILR? Can I use premiem VISA service in above case or Post?

In earning wise, I think I have enough money than my first Tier1 application no matter it's 12 out of 15 or 12 continous month before date of ILR. However latter one I do need to include redundancy payment, yes, it will be NI and taxed.

Am I correct ?Have I made a big mistake here? Thanks in advance...

You don't need to be actually working at the time you apply for ILR. You just need to score the points. In fact before points-based ILR was recently introduced you did not need to be working either; the rules asked only that you had been economically active during the five years.
