I am looking for a help on 28 days rules.I came to uk on 20 oct 2001 but I have got the student visa until 30 Sep 2011 only.can I apply for ILR(10 yrs) withthout extending my visa again?

You can apply for ILR 28 days before the end of the qualifying residence period.

Calculate the date that falls exactly 10 years from your first date of entry. You can apply for ILR 28 days before that date if you leave is still valid at that time.

Thank you.I have got the visa for 20 days less than 10 years.so it should be ok to apply before 30th Sep .

you can apply between 22 Sep and 29 Sep
