Hi all

ILR Time finally !! and struggling with SET(O) form . Can someone help please?
I couldn’t find any discussion for a situation without JR cases and hence posting separately.

My background:
First entry on WP in Oct 06, changed to HSMP in April 08, extended to Teir 1 in March 10.

(Therefore are no benefits of any Judicial Review, I have given Life in UK test , and completed 5 years)

I need some help with a few section of the form SET(O):

1. I will select 3A , as current leave is on Tier 1 (although previous have been on both.) Is this OK?

2. 9C:Age Assesment:
The wording are: Please tick the relevant box to confirm the points you are claiming on the basis of your age at application for your first grant of leave in a relevant routeDoes this mean the points I had got when I applied for HSMP and based on my age in April 2008 ? (Although first grant was on WP but then there are no points for age in a WP)

3. 10:Documents. Should I just fill 10 L only as my current stay is under Tier 1? (10G is for HSMP and 10P for WP)

The reason I am asking is that in 10L it asks to provide details required in section 9A but also then says
"For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 1 (General) migrant,
documents showing that you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules."

What documents need to be provided for this?

Please suggest. Any guidance will be helpful.

Cheers

The route applicable to you for ILR is Tier 1G, and since you got your T1G before 06 April 2010, your age at the time of getting this T1G for the first time will be assessed as per the rules below:
Under 28 years of age: 20 points
28 or 29 years of age: 10 points
30 or 31 years of age: 5 points

Refer to this.

Tushars,

I believe you should be using the age when you applied for your HSMP in 2008 not Tier 1G extension in 2010.

Thanks guys

I guess I will stick to Teir 1 for age as well and take the risk. I think I have enough points so if they decide not to consider the age points shouldnt be a problem.

Is there a HO email to ask such questions? I guess a email wont harm them.

Also a slightly different question. Do we have to show sufficient bank balance for last three months ? I remember showing 800 pounds in tier 1 application, but could not find any explicit requirement in SET(0) form..

Any suggestions?

Thanks once again for your help.
