Hi myansari and welcome aboard...

Applying one day (or X number of days) following the completion of 10 years is absolutely fine as long as your current Leave to Remain is still valid.

As for the photocopies, I cannot imagine this being an issue if you already included the original documents; I read from previous posts that some guys are having the photocopies returned with their documents so they are probably not too significant. However, It maybe a good idea to give the UKBA a call tomorrow and see what they say about photocopies.

Please let us know what the UKBA tell you if you ring them and ask them about the photocopies (whether applications are usually rejected/delayed without them, or whether they just tell you not to worry about it).

Thanks and good luck

Thank you soo very much..

one more thing.. I have no conviction prior or current nor any points ect.. but I was charged with a driving offence due to miss information a few months back I was driving and my policy did not cover me I found out latter.. any ways the case is next week If i was convicted or pleaded guilty before it would have made the case for ILR hard to say the least but now I am about to go to the court wanted to be clear that incase i am found guilty or take a guilty plea although there is no custodial sentence they may take my license and fine me.. would that nullify my application or as my application was submitted prior to any such thing this should be considered on the grounds of my stay to date or with-in 10 years stay in uk.. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

You are welcome mate, we are all here to share our experience and help each other.

The UKBA will not even start processing your application until your payment is cleared, if you are paying by credit/debit card, you can always ring your bank to check when the payment has been authorised even before it is posted to your account.

Don’t worry too much about the photocopies, the UKBA makes provisions to sending additional documents to support your application after your have sent your application. If I was you, I would not post the photocopies before I seek guidance from them, the number you need is 0870 606 7766 as they might just tell you not to bother with photocopies if you included your originals.

As for your traffic offence, I am not sure to tell you the truth, I remember reading on about it earlier and all I remember vaguely is that Fixed Penalty points are not classified as criminal convictions as long as one accepts them without being endorsed by a court of law or something along those lines. However, as you are saying your case is you are attending a court hearing so I am not sure what that counts under. There was a special number that I rang before to ask about criminality criteria but I cannot find it anywhere I am afraid. Try asking the guys on the same number tomorrow and they might give you that separate number to speak to. I will also try and dig out the number for you and post it here if I manage to locate it.

Thank you soo much for all the help Sam..
As I said even if my court thing is counted as a "cancel the application" claus it should not count in my case in theory as clearly my application has been submitted one clear day after the 10 year residential requirement was met. I will ask them tomorrow just to be clear.

Thank god its such a relieve that we can still send some supporting documents after the application submission i will ask them any ways..

Lastly I have sent a cheque so it would take some time before the money is deducted from my account..
