Life in the UK Test - How long is it valid for?

Dear Moderator & Senior Members,
I have a very short and simple question. My ILR is due in Aug 2013, and if I give my life in the UK test by the mid of 2012 will this be valid when I will apply for my ILR in Aug 2013?
Is there any validity period for this test ? Like for a driving theory test its valid for 2 years from the time you give test, so is there any rules like this for Life in the UK test too?
