ILR - SET(O) for ICT - Date of Entry question

I'm planning to apply for my ILR on 6th Dec. My first date of entry as a work permit holder is on 7th Jan 2006. But I left UK on 26th Mar 2006 and again entered the UK on 22nd Oct 2006 from which date I have continuously stayed for 5 Years (Same employer all through)
In the SET(O) form in section 6.1 - "When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which this application is based." I thought I should mention 22nd Oct since that is the date of beginning of the period of stay on which my application is based, but my employer has provided a letter on which they have mentioned my entry date as 7th Jan 2006. The number of days between this ( 26th Mar 2006 and 22nd Oct 2006) would be 211 days and for this reason I delayed my ILR application after Oct 2011.
I would need your expert advice on this and help me with the application form.
