Hello, Thank you all for answering my queries while preparing for ILR.
Here's my (our) experience of getting the ILR.We applied usng form Set O as ours was a case of WP-->WP Exte--> Tier1.

Reached the Homeoffice before time but was allowed only 30 mins prior to appointment.
1) Security Check - Airport Style.
2) Initial Form Check - By security guard
3) Detailed Form and Passport Check by Officer at the counter. Stamped the payment page of the form as "Valid" ,gave a small token chit and asked to proceed to floor 1 for payment.
4) Payment made- Receipt received and was asked to wait for the token call.
5) Waited for around an hour and then was called at one of the counters.
Couldn't really understand the sequence as I guess they call based on the type of application.
6) At the counter- a) Do you have your P60's? b) Have you got photocopies of payslips and bank statements ( I guess case worker was more interested in gettting his file in order than checking mine!) c) Co Hab Documents photocopies. d) Child birth certificate ( green one)
He then asked us to step back and wait.
7) we could see him punching data in his systems and looking at all docs. In particluar the payslips and bank statements , he was probably coraborating the salary.
8) He called me (hand wave signal) asked "How much earnings did you claim in your Tier1 application". I provided him the Tier1 letter and it said the figure. He was a bit nosey as there was a decent difference in salary I claimed at the time of Tier1 and now. This was because I had calimed for my Indian earnings at the time of Tier1 without the uplift ratio so big difference was inevitable.Anyway he asked me to step back again.
9) He called me (hand wave signal) again and said to have a seat. He told evrything is fine and "You will be granted...., do you want to know your scores in LIUK"? We said yes, He asked again "How much do you think each one of you got?" and then said I got 23 ( do I care!) and my wife got 24 ( she's good when it comes to reading lol!!!)
10) Waited for another 20 mins and got passports back.

The documens I was asked:
a) 12 months Payslips - original and Photocopies
b) 12 month Bank statement - Original and photocopies
c) Cohab documents
d) Child Birth certificate(green one)
e) Form
f) Photos
g) Passports
h) P60's

All done. Excited on getting the Visa sorted but now have to pay the credit card bill which has swollen with 2700 GBP. Any one has spare money?!!!

Cheers!

Looks like he has not asked for ur qualification certificate or how much u claimed for qualification for tier i.

For ILR, if apply under tier-i, then need to satisfy point criteria.
But overall, do they bother to ask you for ur qualification points? Do they calculated your points again for ILR?

Do u have covering letter?

hi, he did asked about the earnings claimed at the time of Tier1.
I am not sure if he calculated my points again as I was sitting far away from him but i guess he did calculated as I could see him juggling through my payslips.

i didn't prepare a covering letter as I guessed I dont need one.

Hi aspirant09

Congrats on getting ILR.

Is it must to take dependants along. Do they check whether dependants are there or not?

Also do the salary slips have to be immediately previous 12 months or can they be any 12 months in last 15 months(thats what documentation says)

thanks,
Taking Dependants may not be necessary as they dont ask and even if they do ,you can say they couldn't make it as they were sick or watever i guess caseworker would accept that.
but having said that if you can take a day off its worth taking dependents with you and have a nice day out !

Salary slips can be any 15 months prior to application i think no fuss there. e.g. If you apply in Jan 2012 then you can submit salary slips from Jan 2011 to Dec 2011 or Dec 2010 to Nov 2011 or Nov 2010 to Oct 2011 or Oct 2010 to Sep 2011 ( avoid this iff possible and submit from the past 12 or 13 months).
Thanks.
