ILR and CCJ

Hi,

I am applying for ILR to remain in Feb, and I was just recently issued a CCJ. How will this effect my application? I can not pay it all off within 30 days, but I have come to a repayment plan agreement with the courts.

I am here on ancestry visa, and without the CCJ I was advised it was pretty much a rubber stamp. However now that I have the CCJ I am worried I will be refused. Would I be better off applying for another ancestry visa (would be my 3rd)? Or can I still get ILR?

Unpaid bill :(

There's a long story behind it, where the now ex said he'd paid it. He didn't and it's in my name. I'd moved house and never knew about this until a court letter. I handled it badly. Should have fought it etc but I just accepted it and agreed to a payment plan.

hmm.... it says on HO guidelines that CCJ will cause issue but i strongly believe that it should be up to caseworker to make a decision on that. Same as it should be for driving offenses where a person has genuinely been caught specially with those fixed cameras where theres no remorse but points and a SP code.
