180 days condition for dependent?

Guys,
For ILR the condition of 180 days for dependent, does it apply? My wife has not been away from country for more than 90 days in any year. But I think in last 3 years she has been away for around 180 days.
I get different answers from all my colleagues but not sure what reality is ?
Please help.
