Physically present in UK 5 years before application-ILR req?

I will be applying for ILR in the coming months-
I have come across the following requirement-
"The applicant must have physically present in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands on the day 5 years before the application is received by the Home Office"
Is this only a requirement when applying for Naturalisation/Citizenship?
Therefore, please confirm this is NOT a requirement for an ILR/Settlement application?
