Recently I have applied for ILR, December 2011. My future wife is a by born British citizen, but she is 3 months older than me, we are both 28 but by months she is just 3 months older than me, will that make any problem. I have applied in SET (o) 10 years category, and I have completed my 10 years requirements plus all my previous application was in time application, and in fact SET(0) application was in time application too.

And I am sure life in the UK test result I have corrected 24 question out of 24, But in my pass notification result they didnt mention the score, pass notification result, life in the uk test say i have passed the test. in 10 years period I have been to outside of UK only 3 times, and never stayed more than 4 weeks any time, it was 15 days then other time 18 days and other time 25 days.

But you guys know home office no longer issue stamped on the passport since 2008 November, so my first 5 extension is present on the passport but last two time they issued me Bio-metric residence permit, and when I applied for my last extension they never returned my previous bio-metric residence permit, they just issued a new one what was valid up to 31st December, so when I have applied for my ILR, i included my current bio metric residence permit, and all the previous visa is attached on my passport page but I don't have the bio metric residence permit I had before the current one as when I applied for last extension they never returned the old bio metric residence permit.

However, I have included case worker letter (letter they just send 2 to 3 days before; that your biometric residence permit will arrive shortly that letter) plus I have also included the documents of biometric residence permit, it shows the biometric residence permit unique number on a white page and says, please find attached your identity card for foreign national (ICFN), it is proof of your right to stay, so I included case worker letter and this ICFN letter with my application. plus supporting letter from future wife and i also wrote cover letter, But I did not mention anything about Biometric residence permit, that when they issued me last biometric residence permit, they never returned my previous biometric residence permit, anyways i am 100 percent sure they have a copy of this. As I didn't mention the anything about bio metric residence permit so does it create any problems, I am very worry, and from this forum it seems to me it can take even more than 6 months for get their decisions ,

Is supporting letter from future wife does help ? and is life in the uk test result, very good grade does help anyways ? I never knew about SAR files , is it a good practice to ask my SAR file now, as my application is with them now. thanks to read this and please take my thanks, regards.

1. U r applying under the 10 years category so having a future british wife wud not make any difference to your application.
2. U need to fulfill the requirements of the 10 years category.
3. Having answered 24 questions correctly does not matter and it does not show on u pass certificate (HO is only interested in if u passed or failed and not how many u answered correctly).
4. Difference between u and u future wife age does not make any differenc.
5. It is a standard practice that wen u apply for a new BRP the old one is retained by the HO and as long as you applied before u visa expiry then u shud be fine unless u think u might have made an out of time application.
6. 6 months waiting time is a time given on the guidance.
7. Letter from u future wife wud not help (help if u were married as it highlights u strength of connections in the UK).
8. U can ask for u SAR file anytime u want.

First of all thank you very much.

Number 1. you said, having a future wife would not make any difference to my application, in a way you are absolutely right and with total respect on your opinion , but she is my fiancee and plus our relationship is very true and we known to each other more than a year before even I applied for ILR, so may be that could help in a future point, as we are in relationship. Well my future wife think it will help a lot.

2. I have fullfilled all the requirements of 10 years, no gaps , no out of time application, and other requirements as well.

3. I am totally agree with you that as long as someone passed that's the requirements. but caseworker can see the score, but you are absolutely right, it wont make any difference

5. I never made any out of time application, and all my extension was successful without any kind of payment problems or any other problems, thanks God for that. And thanks for your advice

6. Yes the less waiting time is the more good it is, thanks.

7. We are about to get married within couple of months, it is not easy to get married all suddenly, true relationship takes time, then there is a question or arrangement, cost of wedding party etc. Any original marriage takes time, as family involves, etc.
