ilr apply ?

Hi,
my initial hsmp visa was issued on 23rd Jan 2007 - 23rd Jan 2009. I submitted for Tier extension in jan 2009 but got back my passport only on 9th Feb 2009. (please note there is a 15 day gap) now my current leave expires on 9th Feb 2012. am i eligbile to apply on the 2nd week of Jan 2012 ? i am worried because i have the 15 day gap

What is the Visa stamping date (I.e. start date) on your Tier 1 visa?

start date is 9th FEb 2009

any thoughs on above pls as i need to apply for ilr asap. moderators pls help ? will this 15 day gap be any problem ?

as long as you submitted your Tier-1 application before the expiry of your original HSMP visa, it not your problem anymore.

Agree with linkers ... If you made your application for extension while your current visa was still valid, you dont need to worry about the gaps between the visa stamps ...
This is also true incases where there has been a rejection and appeal has been allowed which sometimes give a gap of over 6 months. So as long as you made you application in time, you are safe ...

What is meant by SOC code ? do i need this for my ILR ? where do you get this from ? (along with employer letter ? )

SOC code is for Work Permit (Tier-2) holders only.

Biometrics for Tier-1 are not needed at the moment but from 29th of Feb 2012, UKBA is introducing biometrics for all ILR applications.
