220 days absence ...

I came on HSMP 2008 and now in Tier 1.
I was absent for 60 days (continuous) and then 88 days (continuous) in the first 7 months of HSMP. I was employed in home country and had come here to search job. coz of the down-turn i went back to home country since i didn't find job. After 7 months I found job in UK and have been here every since.

After that my absence has been 15-20days per year.

Now I am worried about 60 days and 88 days ... It was not business travel .. Do you think I will need 2nd extension? or should i take chance?

Hi Pkumar
You can apply for ILR ss long as you justify your absences as Business trips. ie around 42 days.If you cant then apply for extension and wait until your finish 5 years ie you need to apply after first gap 66 days.Anyhow you said both gaps are within 7 months.
I think it is the mater of max 4months more i think.

Thanks for valuable suggestion.

But if 180 days absence is allowed .... my 60 and 88 days will be covered under 180 day rule .... Now for rest of my holidays it is annual leave .... and i have heard if it is annual leave (around 30day per year) then letter is as well not required .....

So is it still a problem?

No.
You donot need to provide letter from employer saying that your leaves were in line with your annual paid holidays.
But for your earlier 60 and 88 days absence, they might ask you the reason for such long absence in a short time period.

Those were unpaid leaves as I was doing back-and-forth to find job here in UK. So I will not be able to show any letter from employer.
I can show council tax and my wife had moved here .. can show bank a/c ..
